What am I going to do?

You’ll be helping to build new houses, buy furniture for these homes on the local market, plus repairs to existing broken houses. You’d be part of a team working together with the local Haitians from the villages. You’ll be  showing the love of Jesus by serving and empowering the poorest of the poor in Haiti. You’ll hand out water filters and bibles. You could also organize various activities for the children in the village. This can also mean that you, for example, you’d head up a “pancake bake and distribution project!” You’d encourage people by taking an interest in their needs and being an empathetic listening ear and by your participation you let them know they have worth and dignity.There is plenty to do, something for everyone.

Where do I stay?

You stay in a guesthouse on the beach. They will cook for you. There is shower and toilet facilities. A private room is available for couples.The project is located in Leogâne which is 1 1/2 hour drive from the capital Port au Prince.

How old do I have to be?

Minimum age is 18 years (with some exceptions)

What are the costs?

For a 15-day assistance trip € 650.00 excluding airline ticket

What do I get for this?

Overnight stay incl. Breakfast in America, transport from Port au Prince airport to project and back, tourist tax, overnight stays incl. Breakfast, lunch and dinner and drinks in guest house, 1 day excursion (including food, drinks and transport)
